Privacy Policy for ScoreBlocks
ScoreBlocks respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can delete your account and related data.
1. Information We Collect
ScoreBlocks collects only the information needed to provide account features, leaderboard features, advertising features, and basic game functionality.
Account information
If you create a ScoreBlocks account, we use Firebase Authentication to handle account sign-in. This may include:
- Email address
- Password authentication
- Firebase user ID
ScoreBlocks does not store your password in its own database. Password authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
Game profile information
For signed-in players, ScoreBlocks may store the following information in Firebase Firestore:
- Username
- Public user ID
- Best score
- Last active date/time
This information is used for your account profile and the online leaderboard.
Guest player information
If you play as a guest, your guest score is stored locally on your device. Guest players do not have access to the online leaderboard.
If you create a new account after playing as a guest, your guest best score may be used as the first best score for that new account.
If you sign in to an existing account after playing as a guest, your guest score is not uploaded to that account. The existing account’s online score is used instead, and the local guest score may be deleted from the device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To allow users to create an account and sign in.
- To display usernames, public user IDs, and scores on the leaderboard.
- To save your best score online when you are signed in.
- To allow account deletion.
- To help prevent duplicate or confusing player identities.
- To provide password reset emails through Firebase Authentication.
- To maintain basic app functionality.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
ScoreBlocks does not intentionally collect:
- Physical address
- Phone number
- Government ID number

4. Passwords
ScoreBlocks does not store your password in Firestore or in its own game database.
Passwords, sign-in, and password reset emails are handled by Firebase Authentication.
If you forget your password, you can use the password reset option in the app. Password reset emails may sometimes appear in your spam or junk folder.
5. Online Leaderboard
The online leaderboard is only available to signed-in users.
The leaderboard may show:
- Username

- Best score
Guest players cannot view the online leaderboard.
